I have a few tips and insider information students taking next semester's class should know. Most importantly, this class is about the mindset not the mechanical aspects of entrepreneurship. That means the assignments will be to learn the way to think about the world. These assignments are not difficult. However, they will require you to put in the time. Good behaviors for this class are to do the assignments throughout the week. That is what I developed for all the weeks except for one.
I had one moment that I felt like giving up. It was coming close to midnight and the assignments were not done yet. I was stressed thinking I had no chance of getting the assignments done. I could have easily just given up and not tried to get them done. Then I worked hard and got it all done just in time because I lucky did my interviews earlier in the week. However, through this stressful experience, I developed my hardworking attitude towards the class.
Overall, I have three tips to help you get the ‘tenacious mindset’. First, work at a pace that suits you and allows you to get the work done on time. With this, I suggest getting the many interviews done early. Second, watch the lectures with the weekly quizzes in mind. That means actively watch them. It would suck if the one time you go on your phone while watching a lecture online ends up being a question on the quiz. Lastly, take the work seriously. This will make the lessons you are supposed to learn stick with you longer.

Hi Trenton,
ReplyDeleteI agree that pace is a huge part of this class. You have to work at a pace that is comfortable for you in order to complete these assignments. Also, don't forget to attach an image to this post, it says to include one in the directions for the assignment.
Hi Trenton,
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you that we should do our assignments as early as possible, or we will miss out the assignments as the deadlines are coming. There are many interviews through out the semester, finding out people you will do interviews with are very important.
Hello Trenton, you made a great point about the lectures. I have also found that taking a few notes during the lecture are useful as well. There are a lot videos to watch and remember everything can cause issues when it comes to specifics on the "cupcakes" which I have learned the hard way. By the way its a good thing you did your interviews early on the assignment you almost gave up on. I had an assignment where i had to pull together 3 interviews 5 hours before the assignment was due once. That was a challenge. Great reflection post!
