3A-Your Entrepreneurship Story

I was exposed to entrepreneurship when I was very young because my father started his own business. Some of my earliest memories are getting picked up from school and being taken on his business errand runs. Then as I became older I would always be asked to help with paperwork as I was preached the ins and outs of the company’s demographic. I enjoyed these lectures because I always was interested in what he was doing and learning how he ran his business.
I enrolled in ENT 3003 because growing up I was always told that I could start my own business someday if I wanted to and that sparked my interest in Entrepreneurship. Now I am taking the class to finally learn what entrepreneurship is in an academic setting. In this class, I want to increase my knowledge and perspective in the entrepreneurship field. I do understand that a large part of entrepreneurship is built on how a person looks at problems and I am hoping that my time in this class will help me develop and strengthen the way I look at them.

The photo I included is the sign for the build that my dad rents an office out of. The office building is a communal space by renting out multiple offices to multiple companies.

  1. Hi Trenton, it seems you and I have very similar Entrepreneurship story. I too was inspired as child watching and working with my father for his business venture. It's impressive to see how things you learn as a child stick with you and engraved in you forever. Who is to know what you might have been going to school for if you had never gone on business errands with your father. There was not much I would change about your story, this is your own reflection I will say there might have been one typo and I'm not sure if it is the layout you have chosen but it is a little difficult to read your posts. The sentences run off the page for whatever reason. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Hi Trenton,
After reading a few blogs, it seems like most people have experience with entrepreneurship because of their family, me included. I also think that it's pretty cool that your father tried to expose you as much as he could to his business at a young age. I think that instilling a work ethic at a young age can greatly help someone as they get older.
